The CLK falls more into the 'looking good' rather than 'feeling sporty' category, its sleek shape and big pillarless doors give it a more sophisticated air than a Mercedes saloon. The Entry-level petrol engine badged CLK200 Kompressor is a supercharged 1.8-litre, while the CLK280 covers the middle ground followed by the CLK350 and CLK500. All models with the exception of the C200 use a seven speed automatic transmission. There are two diesel models, the CLK220 CDi and the CLK 320 CDi. There are also three model variants available, Elegance, Avantgarde and Sport.
